CNET Content Solutions Teams with Lenovo to Syndicate Content Worldwide

Sun, 06/20/2010

June 21, 2010 (San Francisco, CA) CNET Content Solutions, a division of CBS Interactive, has teamed up with Lenovo to syndicate the PC maker's content worldwide through ContentCast™. ContentCast™ is a CNET Content Solutions real-time syndication service, which provides Lenovo "Brand Showcase" and "Explore Product" content to Lenovo's retail and distribution partner websites.

ContentCast™ combines Lenovo's marketing assets with CNET DataSource™ to deliver Lenovo Brand messaging directly to Lenovo's partner sites. Using an "Explore Product" module and a separate "Brand Showcase" module, ContentCast™ delivers manufacturer's messaging to the partner's product page and enables Lenovo to immerse the user in their brand messaging without ever leaving the partner's retail site.

"CNET Content Solutions 10 year mission has been built around the promise of delivering high quality, relevant manufacturer content into the global market place. And Lenovo's choice to leverage ContentCast™ as the syndication solution to reach their network of worldwide partners is a powerful validation of that model," said Sean Murphy, VP and General Manager of CNET Content Solutions.

"Lenovo is pleased to be working with CNET Content Solutions on this strategic initiative to syndicate our brand assets to our partners," said David Churbuck, Vice President, Global Digital Marketing, Lenovo. "Within weeks of the project launch, the Lenovo brand messaging was active on our partner's sites, surpassing our aggressive goals and delighting our customers."

The ContentCast™ platform leverages the infrastructure of CNET Content Solutions and technology partner Tie Holding ("TIE"). The technology platform for the service is powered by the innovative TIE Kinetix Content Syndication Platform.

"The opportunity to support Lenovo's syndication goals continues to solidify the strong partnership between TIE and CNET Content Solutions, and highlights the ongoing synergy between the technology and experience of our two companies," said Jan Sundelin, CEO of TIE.
